Antiseptic cleanser for surgical hand washing and pre-operative body washing

Fields of Application:

MICROSHIELD^® 4 Chlorhexidine Surgical Handwash has been formulated to meet the standards of a surgical hand scrub. It is also indicated as a pre-operative body wash for patients prior to surgery and can also be used after surgery to reduce the risk of infection. Now available in a smaller 125ml pack size.

Instructions:

Antiseptic hand washing: Deliver 5mL of product into wet hands. Wash hands for 30 seconds. Rinse hands thoroughly and dry.

Surgical hand washing: Repeat above handwash for 2 minutes. Scrub hands. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a sterile towel. Alternatively, follow local peri-operative guidelines for surgical hand antisepsis/preparation.

Pre-operative body washing: Wet body. Apply cleanser to a clean washcloth or hands. Work product into a light lather and wash body as usual. Apply more product as required, ensuring contact with skin for a minimum of 1 minute. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a clean towel.
