Ego Silic 15 Protective Barrier Cream 75g

Silic 15 forms a barrier to shield your skin from water, detergents, chemicals and other irritants. Suitable for use on the skin of people with eczema and contact dermatitis. Silic 15 is pH balanced and non-sticky or greasy.

Silic 15 Cream Ingredients
Actives (w/w) – Glycerol 10%. Preservatives (w/w) – Phenoxyethanol, Hydroxybenzoates, Benzalkonium Chloride.

Silic Cream Benefits:

• Non-sticky, non-greasy protective cream.
• Moisturising base helps to rehydrate skin and prevent moisture loss.
• pH-balanced, low-irritant formulation that is free of lanolin and perfume, and is suitable for sensitive areas of the body.
• Helps to prevent bedsores, assists in protecting traumatised skin from further irritation and is suitable for use on skin surrounding colostomy sites.

Silic 15 Cream Directions:

• Apply to affected skin as often as required.
• Infants: Apply at napkin changes to protect the skin.
• ​Colostomy: Apply around stoma to help prevent skin discomfort.
• ​Protection: Massage into skin before contact with soaps and other irritants.
• Patients in bed: Massage pressure areas 2-4 hourly to help moisturise and protect the skin.

Silic Cream Cautions:

• Avoid eyes.
• Do not apply to weeping skin. Store below 30°
• If irritation occurs, wash affected area and discontinue use.

Silic 15 Cream Tips:

• Before exercise to help protect the skin against chafing.
• Can be applied to the face to help hydrate and protect the skin against irritation that can come from mask wearing.
• Can be used as part of an incontinence management plan to help reduce the risk of Incontinence Associated Dermatitis.
• Silic 15 can be used as one of the steps to help minimise the risk of Occupational Contact Dermatitis i.e. associated with frequent hand washing.
