Askina Foam is a soft, two-layered, non-adherent dressing that is designed to absorb and retain moderate to high wound exudate while providing a moist wound environment to promote healing.
The outer vapor-permeable polyurethane film physically protects the wound from water and bacteria.

The soft and flexible polyurethane foam provides an excellent conformability to adapt to different wound locations on the body.

Askina Foam wound dressing may be used for:

• Moderate to highly exuding wounds.
• Chronic wounds, e.g., pressure ulcers, leg and foot ulcers.
• Traumatic wounds e.g., first- and second-degree burns, and surgical wounds.

Composition – 2 layers:

• Soft, breathable hydrophilic polyurethane foam.
• Thin, transparent protective polyurethane film. (waterproof and bacteria resistant)

Contraindication: Askina Foam is contraindicated for:

• Bites or third degree burns.
• Ulcers resulting from infections, such as tuberculosis, syphilis, deep fungal infections.
• In case of infections with inflammatory signs (temperature, oedema, redness, pain) contact proper medical authority. Resume the use of Askina Foam when normal healing conditions have returned.
