Askina Carbosorb Super-absorbent non adherent foam dressing with active charcoal.

Askina Carbosorb is designed for malodorous wounds with moderate to heavily exudate, such as diabetic foot ulcer, pressure ulcer, leg venous and arterial ulcer, first and second degree burns, postoperative wounds and traumatic wounds.

Advantages:

Askina Carbosorb is made of six layers:

1. Hydrophilic wound contact layer
2+3: Two dispersion layers
4. Superabsorbent pad layer
5. Activated charcoal layer
6. Blue liquid-repellent backing layer

Composition:

• Multilayer construction consisting of:
• Hydrophilic PE/PET (Polyethylene / Polyethylene terephthalate)
• Hydrophilic PP (Polypropylene)
• SAP (Super Absorbent Polymer) and activated charcoal

Indications:

• Indicated for wounds with moderate to heavy exudate, such as diabetic foot ulcer, pressure ulcer, leg venous and arterial ulcer, first and second-degree burns.
• Also indicated for malodorous wounds

Properties:

• Efficiently absorb and keeps the exudate locked in to avoid maceration.
• Keeps exudate even under pressure.
• Malodor management thanks to the active charcoal layer
