Novasource Renal is 2.0kcal/ml with a high protein content. It is lower in potassium* for the dietary management of individuals with chronic renal disease and for those requiring electrolyte restrictions. It is nutritionally complete and calorically dense for volume restricted diets. It is suitable for oral or tube feed use.

Novasource Renal is a food for special medical purposes specifically formulated for the dietary management of people with renal disease whose nutritional intake may not be adequate and those requiring electrolyte restrictions. Must be used under medical supervision.

Ingredients:

Vanilla Flavour: Water, Glucose Syrup (Corn), Vegetable Oil (Rapeseed), Milk Protein (Sodium Caseinate, Calcium Caseinate), Soy Protein, Sucrose, Minerals (Calcium Citrate, Potassium Citrate, Magnesium Citrate, Potassium Chloride, Sodium Chloride, Magnesium Oxide, Ferrous Sulphate, Zinc Sulphate, Manganese Sulphate, Copper Sulphate, Chromium Chloride, Potassium Iodide, Sodium Selenate, Sodium Molybdate), Emulsifier (E471), Choline Chloride, Vitamins (C, E, Pantothenic Acid, Niacin, B6, B2, B1, A, Folic Acid, Betacarotene, Biotin, K, D, B12), L-Carnitine, Taurine, Flavourings, Stabilisers (E407), Acidity Regulators (E330, E525).

Usage: Shake well before opening

Directions for use:

Oral use: Chill before serving. Novasource Renal can be consumed directly from the reclosable bottle or poured into a cup. Once opened, reclose, refrigerate and consume within 24 hours. If poured out of the bottle, cover tightly and use within 6 hours.

Tube feeding: Pour directly into tube feeding container. Adjust formula flow rate and volume to patient’s condition and tolerance. Provide additional water to meet fluid requirements. Avoid contamination during preparation and use. Do not add food or drugs, if product is tube-fed.

Recommended daily intake: Up to five bottles a day depending on patient’s fluid and protein requirement or restrictions, or as recommended by a healthcare professional.

Storage: Unopened, store in a cool and dry place.
