Description

Composition

Urecare contains Urea BP. 10% w/w in a hypoallergenic cream base. It is
preserved with Methyl Hydroxybenzoate BP and Propyl Hydroxybenzoate BP.

Actions

Urea has a keratolytic action and promotes hydration of the skin by increasing the
ability of the epidermis to absorb water.

Indications

Urecare is indicated in the treatment of hyperkeratosis, dryness in ichthyosis and
as adjunct therapy in allergic (atopic) eczema. It is also useful in conditions
characterized by dry, rough, scaly skin.

Contraindications

Known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients

Precautions

Allergic reactions have not been reported but if irritation occurs, discontinue use.
Urecare may irritate inflamed skin or exudative lesions.

For external use only

Directions for Use

Apply to clean, dry skin. Gently massage into the affected areas 2-3 times daily or
as directed by your healthcare professional. Frequency of application may be
reduced as the condition improves.
Urecare is buffered to pH 6.5 and should not result in smarting when applied to
areas of broken skin
