Exu-Dry Specialised absorbent dressings with anti-shear layer.

Exu-Dry is a one-piece, highly absorbent, non-adherent dressing. It has been designed to save nursing time and lower total dressing costs. Exu-Dry Dressings are a versatile range of highly absorbent wound dressings in a variety of shapes and sizes, including anatomical shapes, to meet a variety of patient needs, Exu-Dry may be used as a wet or dry dressing on clean or contaminated wounds. Exu-Dry is compatible with most topical agents, liquids and creams.

Exu-Dry is a multi-layer dressing, replacing multiple layers of gauze and abdominal or surgical pads. The outer layer is non-occlusive and permeable, while the absorbent layer wicks away excess exudate, reducing the risk of maceration.

Indications: May be used in the management of superficial to full thickness wounds.

#Petroleum jelly based products should not be used in conjunction with Exu-Dry as they interfere with absorbency.

EXU-DRY Dressings may be used as a secondary dressing and used in combination with other products (calcium alginates, gels, foams, etc.) that have been used to pack a wound.

The dressing may be used under compression if required, however dressings may require more frequent changes. For sheet dressings equipped with elastic straps, fix to a single bed mattress. A patient may then be placed onto the bed covered by the dressing.

Contraindications:

• During the body’s normal healing process, unnecessary material is removed from the wound which will make the wound appear larger after the first few dressing changes. If the wound continues to get larger after the first few dressing changes, consult an appropriate healthcare professional.
• Should any signs of irritation (redness, swelling, increased burning sensation), maceration (over-hydration of the skin), hyper-granulation (excess tissue) or sensitivity (allergic reactions) appear, discontinue use and consult an appropriate healthcare professional.
• Petroleum jelly based impregnated dressings should not be used with Exu-Dry as this may interfere with its absorbency.
