Clinically Designed For:

• Mepilex Border Sacrum is a self-adherent soft silicone absorbent dressing designed to be a part of prevention strategies of skin damage such as pressure injuries and to reduce post-operative blistering.
• Wounds that have medium to high levels of fluid and can be used on wounds such as pressure injuries, leg ulcers, foot ulcers, traumatic wounds (e.g. skin tears) and surgical wounds.

Mepilex Border Sacrum can be used by lay persons under supervision of Healthcare Professionals. If you are concerned about your wound, please contact your Healthcare Professional.

Precautions:Do not use on patients with known hypersensitivity to the ingoing materials/componentsof the product.

• Do not use together with oxidising agents such as hypochlorite solutions or hydrogen
• If you see signs of clinical infection e.g. fever or the wound or surrounding skin becomingred, warm or swollen, consult a health care professional for appropriate treatment.
• The use of dressings as part of a prophylactic therapy does not preclude the need tocontinue to develop and follow a comprehensive pressure ulcer prevention protocol,e. support surfaces, positioning, nutrition, hydration, skin care and mobility.
• Do not reuse. If reused performance of the product may deteriorate, cross contaminationmay occur.
• Do not use if sterile barrier is damaged or opened prior to use.Do not re-sterilise.
