ConvaMax Superabsorber adhesive dressing with a silicone layer is a sterile dressing for use on highly exuding wounds, consisting of a breathable and waterproof nonwoven layer, a Superabsorber pad layer, a fabric wicking layer, and soft silicone wound contact layer. The multi-layered construction facilitates fluid management to provide the optimal moist wound environment, which leads to the promotion of faster wound closure. The absorbent pad provides superior absorption and locks exudates away. This minimizes the risk of maceration and damage to peri-wound skin.

Product Features:

High fluid absorption, even under compression

• Exudate from chronic wounds can be corrosive to the wound bed and intact skin.
• ConvaMax absorbs high levels of exudate into the superabsorbent (SAP) core (up to 177g/100cm²), locking it away from the wound and helping to promote skin integrity.

High retention of fluid and bacteria

• Once exudate has been absorbed, ConvaMax retains the fluid within the SAP core, ensuring it is not released back to the wound, bandaging, or clothing.

Protease Modulation

• ConvaMax has been proven in vitro to not only absorb MMPs but also bind them.
• This reduces the excess MMPs within the wound environment to encourage healing.

Soft and comfortable

• Soft on the skin, easy to apply, and easy to remove for patient satisfaction.
• The protective blue backing prevents strike-through and maintains conformability.
• Choosing a dressing that effectively manages the exudate level of the wound can result in extended wear time, producing a positive impact on wastage and costs, and may also help with healing.

Indications:

ConvaMax Superabsorber adhesive dressing is indicated for the management of moderate to highly exuding wounds, including:

• Leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers
• Dehisced surgical wounds

Contraindications:

• Do not use this product on dry or low exuding wounds, eyes, mucous membranes or in wound cavities because the dressing swells during absorption. Do not use on third-degree burns.
• ConvaMax Superabsorber adhesive dressing should not be used on patients with a known allergy or hypersensitivity to the dressing or its components.
• Arterial bleeds and heavily bleeding wounds.
